Design and construction of flue gas filter, fan and condenser of Põrguvälja boiler house
Description
Within the scope of this project, a flue gas filter, ventilator, and condenser were designed and installed on the existing solid fuel boiler with the necessary reconstruction and modification works to increase the efficiency of fuel use, reducing the importance of natural gas use, and reducing the amount of emissions directed to the outside air with flue gases.
During this project, the following works were carried out:
Chimney: The existing chimney was reconstructed, and a new stainless steel flue was fabricated and installed.
Smoke passage: A new flue gas pipeline was designed and built from the smoke passage of the wood chip boiler with all the necessary equipment for measuring and controlling the operation modes of the flue gas condenser (triple, gas-tight shut-off valves, flue gas fan, measuring points according to standard EVS-EN 15259, measuring devices, etc.) to the chimney.
Flue gas fan: A new fan was designed and installed on the 6MW boiler. The latest fan has a productivity of 25000m3/h and the necessary back pressure, considering that the back pressure of the existing 6MW pre-heater, boiler, and multicyclone is 3000-4000Pa.
Flue gas electric filter: A new flue gas electric filter was designed and installed for flue gas productivity of 25000nm3/h, with the calculation that the solid particles’ content is 300mg/nm3. The filter also allows working with a 1.5MW boiler at 30% load.
Flue gas condenser: The flue gas condenser, its auxiliary equipment, and pipelines were manufactured using stainless steel.
