Design and construction of Cesis 0.98 MW boiler house
Description
One hot water boiler for biofuels manufactured by Rapla Metall OÜ was installed in the boiler house with a preliminary hearth. The set’s heat output at 55% fuel moisture is 980 kW (nominal heat output 980 kW). The hot water boiler’s maximum working pressure is PS=6 bar, and the maximum allowed working temperature is TS=110 C.
The biomass boiler is connected to the district heating system to work with the oil-fired reserve and peak boiler. Boiler cooperation is solved on the principle of cascade control. For this, a linear 2T valve and a heat meter were installed on both boilers.
The offered biofuel boiler set is designed to work fully automatically and is intended to provide control of the entire technology, such as remote monitoring over the Internet.
The new biofuel boiler is intended to work at least 8240 operating hours per year in the capacity range of 30-100% of the nominal capacity. The non-heating period (280 hours per year for wood, 350 for peat) is intended for regular maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of the technology.
