Reconstruction of the Saverna boiler house
Description
The customer’s initial task was to rebuild the district heating district of Saverna village’s boiler house into a modern automatic biofuel boiler house. The boiler house in use had depreciated, and a new metal frame building was built in place of the existing boiler house.
The boiler house is divided into two parts—a boiler room and a fuel storage room with a hydraulic room. Within the framework of this project, a new biofuel boiler, Kalvis 720M-1, with a nominal capacity of 0.72 MW, was installed in the boiler house. An oil boiler is used as a reserve boiler in the boiler house, and the type of biofuel used is wood chips of class P63, M50.
The heat pipeline of the designed biofuel boiler house was connected to the heat pipeline of the Saverna district heating network. The goal was to design an automatic biofuel boiler house that would operate without the constant presence of a person (unmanned).
